Registered Rep has ranked Fragasso Financial Advisors 13 out of its 100 top independent broker/dealer advisors. Barron's has named the firm as a top 100 independent wealth advisors. Both rankings reflect Fragasso Financial Advisors' assets under management and regulatory history. The financial advisory firm has been named to each of these lists multiple years in a row.
"We're thrilled to be named to both of these lists again," says Robert Fragasso, CFP, chairman and chief executive officer of Fragasso Financial Advisors. "Although the list is based largely on our assets under management, we have a tremendous stable of talent that has enabled our firm to reach this level. Through our sound investment strategies and regulatory record, we have earned a strong reputation in the industry while continuing to enjoy success for nearly 40 years."

Carhops Sub Shop recently opened in the Strip at the corner of Smallman and 19th streets. Well known in the South Hills as one of the original "carhop" restaurants in the Pittsburgh area, the interior décor is auto-themed—which carries over to the sandwich names on the menu. Cheesesteaks are the De Ville, Z-28, Impala S/S, and GTO; half-pound burgers are called Lamborghinis.
Carhops is famous for its two-foot-long cheesesteak. The other serving sizes are just as huge—try the foot-long cheesesteak, enormous pizza slices, and Reuben sandwiches.

The new Bar Marco is located on the first floor of the No. 7 Engine Company at 2216 Penn Avenue. Serving drinks and European-inspired bar foods, the owners hope to create a casual, fun atmosphere for people to experience new wines and spend time in a bustling environment among friends. The kitchen and restoration/ construction is wrapping up to start serving lunch, dinner, and late-night food in mid-November. The upstairs space is available to host private events.
Owned by four childhood friends, the renovated and restored restaurant aims to create a warm and lively atmosphere influenced by the wine bars of Italy and Spain. Menu items include Bar Marco's specialty, arancini—fried rice balls, often stuffed with mozzarella cheese—sausage and meatballs over polenta, fresh roasted vegetable salads, and paninis. The eatery will source from Strip District and Pittsburgh vendors, including Parma Sausage and the Crested Duck Charcuterie.
For more information on the restaurant's November opening and hours, call 724-875-2738.
