Gifts from Asia

Asian vase and table

This gorgeous porcelain vase from China is a perfect holiday gift. The red and white flowers fan out across a bright green tree trunk. It stands 9 ½ inches tall and has a gold band around a slightly raised rim. The vase sits on a Chinese bamboo square-topped pedestal with a single drawer, circa late 1800s. The price of the vase is $60 and the pedestal is $500.

At Atelier, It's All About Glass

Glass table from Atelier

"My objective is to express not only the beauty of glass as an artistic medium but to also demonstrate its functionality in daily life," says Meeghan Triggs, artist and owner of Atelier Glass Studio & Gallery. Her shop—where she also produces her work—vividly reflects her objective, with items as large as tables (of various sizes), as well as candlesticks, coasters, platters, serving trays, and other beautifully designed items.

In addition to her own work, Triggs exhibits the work of area artists, including painters, jewelry designers, and of course, other glass artists.
